About these content types
The homepage content type suite allows you to build and manage the content of your site homepage as you would any other section of your site. To create your homepage, select 'add content' to the home folder of your site and choose the relevant homepage content types.
Banners
The PSS-Homepage-Banner content types allow you to create a static or animated homepage banner that are either full page width or two-thirds width. For the animated banner we recommend a maximum of 4 images. Please note, when the site is viewed on a mobile device the banner does not display, there is further development work to be done to achieve this.
The photos used in the banner need to be landscape and of good enough quality to display correctly on desktop screens. The ideal image size is as follows:
- Full page width: 940 x 380 pixles
- Two-thirds width: 620 x 380 pixles
The template will automatically shrink the photo to fit as necessary but there is an automatic photo resizer utility in the "Tools" section of this site. This tool wont crop or frame the photo so you will need to adjust the image accordingly before resizing it.
Boilerplate
Use this panel to summarise the purpose of the site or communicate a specific message relating to promotioanl activities. This is a text box only, you cannot add images to this section, you can add links to external content or other sections of the site.

One-third width textual content for homepages, these content types must be used in multiples of three. Choose from text box with section or external link.
